O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.and thank you so much for all the wonderful comments on the blog post 'I've got buttons but where's Cinderella'.

Yesterday, I decided I was going to clear out my craft room ready for what I will probably be buying over the next few days.  Unfortunately, I got distracted and made this card instead!!! lol

I started with an A5 Easel, the background is topsy turvy card which I got ages ago from Create and Craft.  I stamped the three Christmas Trees with Flitter Glue and then gave them the Indigo Blue Gilding Flakes treatment, using 'Winters Dawn'

I cut out the two ovals using Spellbinders Grand Ovals.  I stamped the sentiment and then used 'Wow' embossing powder and then stamped the snowflakes in the corners and again used Wow embossing powder.

The Tree stamps are Tree Trio, the sentiment is Miracle of Christmas, and the snowflake is the snowflake corner stamp, all from Visible Image.  If you order this week you will get 25% off all their Christmas Stamps with reduced postage and packaging too:

There is still time to join in their challenge 'Inspired by Autumn' at:

They are also launching their Newsletter next month, here is the link:

so make sure you sign up to receive it.

Till next time take care xx

I've got buttons, but where's Cinderella?!

Hi everyone, firstly thank you for all the lovely comments left on my last blog post.  I don't do many challenges, but thought I would have a got at the one over at:

The theme is buttons and bows, so here is my entry:

The pink and blue background paper I bought at the local craft shop, on top of this I put the spiders web which I coloured half blue and half pink.  I stamped the Christmas tree which is the 'Funky Circles Tree', by Indigo Blu.

I cut round it and then stuck the buttons on.  The bows are from Papermania.and the star at the top was in my stash.

Take care till the next time x

Inspired by Autumn

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.  First of all, thank you so much for all the fabulous  comments you left on my last post, it is very much appreciated.

There is a competition over at Invisible Image 'Inspired by Autumn' and this is what I came up with:

The words are:  The autumn leaves drift by my window, the autumn leaves of red and gold.  I think Nat King Cole and Matt Monroe sang it - crikey! that's showing my age!

Here is the link to the competition:

I have used the Classic Face stamp from Visible Image.  The leaves I embossed with an embossing folder from Sheena Douglass.  I coloured them with Radiant rain ink, and although you can't see it, sprayed some silver sparkle on them from Crafter's Companion.  The background, window frame and sentiment are coloured with Pan Pastels, and the sentiment I did in a word document.

Please come and join in, we would love to see your creations - till next time x

One for the ladies

Good evening everyone, and thank you for all your lovely comments yesterday. Today I thought I would do something for the ladies, so here it is:

Decided to do an Easel card and use the post-it as a stopper.  Although it is not easy to see, the backing paper is from the 'Beautiful' collection by Papermania.  The swirl is a Marianne die and the butterflies are from the Pappillion set from Spellbinders.  Just added a few gems to bling it up a little bit.  I covered the front of the post-its with the same 'Beautiful' papers because I didn't think you would want to see canary yellow post-its with the turquoise!!! lol

Hope to be back soon with something else x

Two for One?

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, the sun has finally appeared, but it is blowing a gale!  I have two projects for you today, here they are:

One, as you can see is a Christmas decoration, which I made with a poinsettia stamp from visible image and the sentiment came from them too.  I coloured the flowers with promarkers and the mirri and ribbon I had in my stash.

The second one (sorry you can't see inside!) is a Post-it holder.  The paper is a denim pack but I can't remember who from, and the motorbike stamp is from visible image.  I used baker's twine, and a charm from Mei Flower.  Thought this would be an ideal stocking filler/gift for a man.
Here is the link to go see what stamps they have available:

Take care till next time x

You're so classic

Hi everyone, I cannot believe it's been two weeks since I last blogged.  My back garden has had a makeover, so I thought I had better do something about the inside too! lol

Anyway, onto a simple card I made yesterday, but was too tired to blog!

I started with a white card blank, then matted with black shiny card from Clarity Stamps. Next I stamped the background map which is from Indigo Blu.  Finally the car and sentiment are from Visible Image:

Hope you like it -  will be back soon x

All neat and tidy

Well, at last I have been crafting, haven't done so since 14th August! There has been a lot of stuff going on in the past few weeks, so haven't felt like crafting.  Anyway, here is today's offering:

It is a folder I made to house my Visible Image stamps so they are all together.  I can see that I will have to make some more though as my stash is increasing rather quickly!

I was able to make it thanks to Julie Woodward. If you would like to have a go you will find three videos, the first of which is at:

The backing paper is from a Lucy Cromwell collection, and the lace I received from Phill Martin.  The stamps used are: Classical face which has been coloured in using Promarkers - Putty, Satin and Baby pink. Live your Dreams, and Butterfly using Memento Ink Pad - Lilac Roses.

Please take a look on their website at their fabulous stamps:

and if you are a member of their facebook group, you have until 9th September to enter their competition:

Thank you for visiting my blog, hope you feel it was worth the wait! lol x

Do you have Dreams?

Good evening everyone, hope you are well, and again thank you for all the comments left on my last post.

Here is today's offering:

I have used the Grunge Swirl, Butterfly and Sentiment stamps all from:

I used Memento Rhubarb Stalk, Cottage Ivy, and Tuxedo Black then distressed round the outside of the card with Black Soot.  I made my own tag and threaded bakers twine through it, and finally added the bows from Papermania Capsule collections.

Please don't forget the competition, which has now been extended until 9th September, details can be found at:

Thank you for visiting xxx

Fun with lilacs?

Good afternoon, on a glorious sunny Saturday. Thank you once again for the great comments on my previous post x.  Today is a card I would like to put into Sheila's sketch challenge at:
This is the sketch:

and this is my interpretation:

I used Jayne Nestorenko's stamp set, coloured with Promarkers and Panpastels.  The lace I got from Phill Martin at Honeypot Crafts, and I coloured the card candy and the pearls with promarkers, so it tied in with the backing papers which I had in my stash. I hope you all enjoy your weekend and will be back soon x

Have a fab day and hope the card  has made you smile x

What's with the Daffodils??

Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my post yesterday.

I have left the Grunge behind and have done something different.

When I received the men's collage stamp and saw the script, as per usual I had to try and read it.  Normally they tend to be in a foreign language, or are just squiggles and stuff, but I noticed that this one was part of the well known poem of William Wordsworth.  What I didn't know was that it was inspired whilst on a walk with his sister, and the first version didn't mention the well known line 'a host of golden daffodils' at all!

Anyway that's where the daffodils come in on my card!

The stamps I have used are again  the Men's Collage and For your special Day, together with one of the daffodil stamps from Heartfelt Inspiration, and 'The Coppice' from Inkylicious.
The daffodils were coloured with my promarkers - colours are: Daffodil Bloom, Summer Sun, Meadow Green, and Forest Green.
The trees are coloured with the same greens plus Apple Green.  The sky is Panpastels - Ultramarine Blue tint and Ultramarine Blue, and under the trees I used Permanent Green. On the toppers I used Permanent Green and Hansa Yellow, to try and tie them n with the daffodils.
The Men's Collage and On your Special Day stamps are available from:

Please have a look at their website, the stamps are of extremely high quality and their service is second to none, and please don't forget their competition at:

When is a flourish not a flourish?

Good morning everyone from a very wet Berkshire. Have been enjoying watching the Olympics, but have managed to make a card too, and here it is:

I have used the Men's Collage, For Your Special Day and the Grunge flourish  stamps all of which are available from:

The reason I said when is a flourish not a flourish, is because the grunge border is from the Grunge flourish stamp, I just inked the edge of the stamp to get the effect. (Please go and have a look to see what I mean). I distressed the background with Tim Holtz Black Soot and Vintage Photo inks, and then flicked water over it.  I stamped the Men's Collage and For your Special day with Memento, distressed them  and then tore the edges and inked with the same distress inks.  The little watch embellishments are brads from Craft Bag. I cut off the prongs and stuck them on with Pinflair Glue Gel.
Please don't forget Visible Image are running their first competition - details here:

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend  x

Stampin' Around

Hi everyone, hope you are well.  Thank you so much for the fabulous comments on my last post featuring the visual image stamp x
Today's card is my entry into their first competition.

The base card is from my stash, second layer is from Hunkydory's Christmas backing card which I cut from the Spellbinders Grande scalloped circles.  The stamping on the topper has been done with visible image snowflake corner and the sentiment is theirs too. The corners are embossed with Craft House Embossing powder.
Please come and take part in the competition if you can.  This is a reasonably new company and they produce fabulous quality stamps.  Mark designs and makes the stamps himself, and Helen helps with admin, accounts and any way she can.  Here is the link to the competition:

There are also instructions of how to join in if you don't have a blog - have fun x

Do you see what EYE see?

Good afternoon everyone, it's rather dull here in Berkshire so far today.  Hope you are all well, and again thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my last post.

Here is today's make using a stamp from:
which is 'Mothers Day'

The backing paper is again from the free Pretty Pastels papers in Making Cards, the pink stripe paper I had in my stash.  The buttons are from Joanna Sheen, and the sentiments are stamps from the 'Emma' stamp set from Stamp Addicts.  The ribbon across the middle is American Seam binding which I coloured with a Promarker.

Thank you for visiting, and will be back soon x

Oooh what a mish mash!

Good evening everyone, another beautiful day, hope you have had sunshine too.  Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last blog, so here is today's offering:

The base layer paper is from Pretty Pastels which was free in the July edition of Making Cards.  The second layer was also free from Making Cards but from the Vintage Special edition.  The stamps are from Crafty Individuals, and I just put a small amount of colour onto them using Apple Cider, Wild Cranberry, and Grey Squirrel from the Autumn Collection of Promarkers.  The pearls were white, and I coloured them with the Apple Cider to match the colour on the stamps. but the light has made them look more yellow!  Hope you all have a lovely evening xx

Anniversary Card with a Spider Web???

Good afternoon everyone, hope you all have sunshine today.  It's been a few days since my last post, and I would like to say thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments on it.

Today's card was a bit of a spur of the moment make - not like me at all - I like to think about what I'm going to do first!!!  Anyway, here it is:

Yes, it is Spider Web, but it's netting from Kanban! lol  The backing paper is from Papermania - Lucy Cornwell collection.  I did intend it to be a wedding card, but, couldn't believe I didn't have any sentiments for such a card, so changed it to Wedding Anniversary.  Hope you like it, take care till next time xxx

Three nice little numbers?

Good evening everyone, hope you have all had a good day.  Here is my offering for today

The blue base card I had in my stash and the heart card is from Hunkydory.  I stamped the dresses using Kanban stamps, and coloured them with my Promarkers. The lace came from Phill Martin, and  the ribbon  again I had in my stash.  The greeting is from the Papermania Beautiful range.  Take care and thank you for taking a look xx

Anyone for Bingo??

Good evening everyone, hope you are well.  The card that I made today, I'm going to enter into Creative Inspirations Challenge - entitled Bingo!

It is bingo with a difference as you will see below:

You can make your card by going either diagonally or horizontally.  I decided I would go horizontally from top left to bottom right, which  meant PINK,  FLOWERS and POLKA DOTS.  So here is my card:

The backing paper is a Lucy Cromwell design from Papermania, and the stamp is from Creative Expressions, which has been coloured with Pro-markers.  I lightly tinted the base card of the image with pink and green Pan Pastel Tints.  The pearls I had in my stash.  Hope you like it, and thank you for visiting xx

My first go at Triple Time Stamping

Hi everyone, the day started off sunny and bright, and is now damp and miserable. Are we ever going to get a summer?

Today's post is a new technique to me, and I saw a post from Kate Martin this morning and decided I would have a go.  There is a video showing you how to do this technique at:

The stamp is from Le Blanche, and I coloured the background with Pan Pastels to take the starkness of the white card away. I started by cutting out the white card I was going to stamp onto, and then cut the black mats to go with them.  Next I put a little bit of tape runner on the back of each of the white pieces of card, taking some of the sticky off and then layering them up.  The next step was to stamp the image onto the card  using a black Memento ink pad - making sure I put even pressure onto the stamp, especially the bit that was stamping right on the edge of the card  because you are stamping over three layers - (the first time I didn't do this and the impression didn't stamp). After this I mounted the three layers onto the black mats and then mounted it onto my base card.  Finally I coloured it with Pan Pastels Red tint. In the video, a background stamp is used first, but out of all the stamps I have, I  didn't have ONE suitable stamp!!!  A good excuse to go crafty shopping me thinks! lol

Hope you like it, I enjoyed making this card, and hope you will too - have a look at the video and then play and have fun xx

Anything with wheels

Hi there, hope everyone is well.  The sun is shining and the birds are singing this morning, at least a bit of respite for all the rain we have been having.

Today's post is my entry into 'Anything with wheels' blog challenge over at Desmet Designs

The back ground is a stamp from Papermania - Beautiful Time Pieces, which was inside the docrafts 'Goody Bag', and has been coloured with Pan Pastels. The lamposts and penny farthing are from Clarity Stamps, with the background  again coloured with Pan Pastels.  The little watches are from my stash and unfortunately I can't remember where I got them from, which is  a pity because I would like to get some more! lol
Thank you for stopping by and for your comments x

First one for Christmas

Hi there, well weather wise it's been a funny old day.  One minute it's tipping it down and the next there is brilliant sunshine.
Hope everyone is well, and thank you for visiting.

Here is my card for today:

The blue base card came from I know not where, I have had it so long I can't remember! The Madonna and Child stamp, stars and sentiment are from indigo blue.  They were stamped with  Versacolour 'icicle' and then coloured with Pan  Pastels, the ribbon was in my stash.

I am entering this into the sketch challenge at:

It's Twinchie time!

Good morning everyone, sorry I haven't been blogging recently, still under the weather and have to wait for a referral to the ear nose and throat clinic.  Better not hold my breath, it could be a long wait!!

Anyway, I decided I would have a go at a twinchie, which is a design put onto a 2" x 2" piece of board, card, or whatever.  I've not done it before so hope you like it.

I used panpastels to colour the base and butterfly.  The butterfly is from  the Shapeabilities Spellbinder 'Wings of  Hope' die, and the sparkle is Hunkydory's Diamond Sparkle Soft Snowdrift.  I put a couple of gems on the attenna (not sure that's spelt right, but hopefully you know what I mean!) just to finish it off.  Thank you for visiting xx

At last I have blogged ........

Hi everyone, haven't been blogging recently as I have been feeling rather under the weather, have to go back to the doctors today, so will see what he says this time!

Anyway here's the card I made this morning:

Sorry about the quality of the photo, it's really dull here today.

The Background paper is a free download, and I apologise I can't remember from whom.  I then used Panpastel neutral grey and phthalo blue tint to blend the second layer, the corset  I stamped with Adirondack purple twilight, coloured with Promarkers and is from Stampendous.  The paper flowers are from Prima and the sentiment is from Creative Expressions.  Interesting that my mobile has made the grey look more like brown, but hey ho!

Hope you like it x

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't blogged for a few days, needed some space I think after making a card a day for the last month lol. I made a birthday card for my grandson and forgot to take a photo, but here is one I did for a card swap.  Everything is from Wild Rose Studio, except for the sentiment which is hunkydory and the ribbon I had in my stash.  Hope you like it x
