Have mat - will travel!

Hi everyone, hope you are well.  It took me two days to do my latest card!!!  Isn't it strange how some cards come together so easily, and others are a real pain in the butt!!  I wasn't going to let it defeat me, so here it is:

I started off with a backing paper from Papermania Chronology selection.  I then found some contrasting papers which I had in my stash and stamped clocks and cogs from the chronology and Debbie Moore stamp sets, in Tuxedo Black. The main image is a stamp called Catifur Colombus, from Stampendous, which again I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.  The sentiment is from the same Debbie Moore stamp set, and this time I used Memento Bamboo Leaves.  Finally I attached a cog from the Chronology range and a watch face from Creative Expressions.

Not a very good photo, because the light isn't good today, but I THINK it was worth persevering!!! lol

Till next time .....................

From sweetie tin to...............

Hi there everyone, hope you're not struggling too much with the snow. I decided to have a play yesterday, and decided that as I had eaten all the sweets, the  tin needed a makeover.  Mind you, so will I after eating so many sweets! Here's what I came up with.  I'm not sure what I'm going to store in it as yet - maybe buttons - not sure.

I did decopatch on the tin first, then added the lace and finally used the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles which were embossed with the Die'sire 'Flower' embossing folder.  Finally, I put three brads on the top layer.

Take care till next time ............

Challenge 16 at Glitter n Sparkle

Wow! what a huge response we had to the challenge last week, thank you so much to everyone that entered.
Onto this week's challenge which is 'Sentimentals' - must have a sentiment

Our first sponsor this week is:

Who are offering one lucky winner 4 images from their Sassy Store

The second sponsor is:

StitchyBear Digital Stamps

who are offering one lucky winner $10 to spend at the Stitch Store

and finally the third sponsor is:

who are offering the lucky winner 3 digis of their choice from their store

Here is my DT card:

I was given a digi  called 'Lunchtime' from Stitchy Stamps to work with.  The background stamp is from Sheena Douglas's new range and the grasses is a stamp I've had in my stash for ages.  I coloured the sky, water and grass with pan pastels, and the rest was done with Spectrum Noirs.  I've not used the Spectrum Noirs before and colouring a teddy is a first too - so it was a great challenge for me.

I hope you will take part in the challenge and look forward to seeing your entries.

When is a doily not a doily??

Hi everyone, well it was obvious I wasn't going anywhere today, as the snow has been falling all day.  The only thing I can see on my car is the number plate!!!  In all the years I have lived in Wokingham, I don't remember having so much snow in one day!

Anyway, I decided to have a play rather than do anything specific, and this is what I came up with:

Sorry, it's not a very good picture, but anyway I used one of the 6 x 6 Vintage notes papers from Papermania, and darkened the edges with  antique linen.  I then used one of the doiley's from the Vintage notes decoupage medley, and went round it with Victorian Velvet.   Next, I  took a doily which  I got free from a magazine, cut it at approximately two thirds and shaped it into the bodice.  With the other piece,  I folded it and made the skirt, I glued them together,  put silver ribbon round it to hide the join and added some pearls, lace and tiles.  If you would like to make one  yourself, look out for the February edition of Papercraft inspirations.

Till next time......... stay safe and warm xx

Cheers????????

Hello everyone, thank you to those that took part in last week's challenge over at

The first sponsor is a new one to GlitternSparkle - called Jellypark and they are offering one lucky winner 5 items of their choice from their collection.

The second sponsor is Bugaboo who are offering one lucky winner 7 images of their choice  from their store

and finally, the third sponsor is:  Floppy Latte Designs who are offering $6 to spend in their store

Floppy Lattes Digital Designs ::All Digital All The Time

I was given the little girl cheerleader from bugaboo and when I looked at it I was stumped to say the least, but anyway here is my DT card

The background papers are taken from a Rob Adams CD and the other little characters I got from the internet.  I know nothing about Baseball and so had to go on the internet and see what the names of the teams were. It just had to be Boston Red Socks because that's what my two little characters were wearing!!!

Hope you will join in and look forward to seeing your entries.  Take care, and keep safe x

January entry into Heck of a Challenge

Hello everyone, hope you are keeping well, if you're not, get well soon

The theme this month over at:

 http://heckofachallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

is 'Thank you'

so  here is my entry

On the base of the card I used one of the new Papermania, spots and stripes papers .  The green and brown papers are from the new Chronology pack.  I went round the edges of all three with Antique Linen, peeled paint and vintage photo distress ink.  The image is from Le Blanche, and the clock and cogs are again from papermania.  The sentiment I did on the computer and then distressed slightly with vintage photo.

I just think it is so important that we give our time to people, life is so rushed these days, that sometimes we forget to do it.

Hope you like my entry.  Till next time ......................
