Stencillicious??

I thought I would show you what I have been playing with today:  I have never done anything with a stencil before, but after seeing a couple of programmes on TV, and seeing them at the NEC, I thought I would take the plunge!

I used a Sweet Poppy stencil, pearlescent paste and then added the glitter over the top.  It was a mixture of different leftover colours that I had just poured into a pot ages ago.  The photo doesn't really do it justice unfortunately, but here it is:

Hope you like it

Oh so simple

Hi there everyone, hope you all enjoy the Easter break - hugs for those that may be feeling under the weather.

Thought I would show you three very simple cards I made using Inkylicious stamps which I bought at the NEC last week - all occasion dies from Rob Adams, which I also bought from the NEC, a few promarkers and card from my stash

Calla Lily

Carnation Sprig

Poppy

I thought I might send these (amongst others) to a friend who isn't able to go out, and then she will have something put by when needed

Take care ................

Now onto my DT card - I was given Patchwork Goose from QKR Stampede to play with, and here it is:

I started off with Hunkydory Patchwork card, added some pink card from my stash and laid the Loopy Loop Spellbinder die on top of that.  I went round the die with faux stitching, and decided to make the body of the goose like a patchwork which I coloured  with my promarkers.  Finally I put a little heart on the end of some acetate as a little boinger on his hat to add some dimension.

Hope you will come and join us, if you do - Good luck

Bold Blooms?

Hi everyone, a gorgeous sunny day here in Berkshire.  I would like to show you a card I was working on yesterday.  It is one of the Stampography Bold Blooms stamps which is designed by Mike Deakin from Kraftyhands.  They are running a Blog Sketch Challenge this month -

Here is the sketch

and this is what I did with it:

I used duo-card and mirri card for the first three layers and then printed out one of the backing papers from the Vintage Treasures cd rom from Kraftyhands.  The die cut is the Spellbinders Fleur de lise square. I used pan pastels just to give the background to the image a bit of colour. I used white seam binding for the pennants, and coloured them with a Promarker, in the same green as I used for the leaves on the image. The blooms were coloured with Spectrum Noir pens, and then I punched out two circles of white card, and again used the same green as the leaves, and finally I stamped the sentiment - which is a stamp from Flowersoft's Floral Sentiments - Design  set 2.

I would like to enter this into Kraftyhands Blog Sketch Challenge

New Challenge - 22 - at Glitter n Sparkle

Hi, and welcome to Challenge 22 at Glitter  Sparkle.  Thank you to everyone who took part last week.

We have a special sponsor this week:

who are offering one lucky winner $10 to spend in their store.

The second sponsor is:
Daisy Doodles

Who are offering a lucky winner 3 images of their choice from their store.

The third sponsor is Digi Darlas who are offering a lucky winner 5 images from their store

Digi Darla's

And our final sponsor this week is

Who are offering a lucky winner, 4 images of the winner's choice from their store

I made two cards this week, the first image I was given is called 'Loving Arms' from Digi Darlas.  I wanted mother and baby to look as though they were in a room. The blue striped paper I had in my stash and the pink backing paper underneath it is from the Vintage Treasured CD from Kraftyhands, as are the pictures on the wall. I added blue and pink ribbon to make it look like a dado, then coloured the image with promarkers
and added the Memory Box heart dies, and the sentiment which was done on my laptop.

For the second card I used the Image 'Leah at the salon' from Guylou's.  I have to admit, I didn't look at the image title, so did my own thing!!! Oops!

I decided to make a stepper card, so that Leah looked as though she was sitting in a shop.  I coloured her with promarkers, and the backing papers, shop front and embellishments are all from  Vintage Chic Boutique Deluxe from Kraftyhands.  Again, I did the sentiment on my laptop.

I do hope you will come and join us, and good luck
