I have a Dream ..............

Thought I would share with you a card I've made for my youngest son's birthday.  He has always dreamt of owning a motorbike, so far it hasn't happened - I wouldn't let him have one and his first wife wouldn't let him have one either.  He has been living with his new partner for almost two years so who knows .......................?

Everything on the card has been made with the Kraftyhands Motor Mania cd, except for the cogs which are from Spellbinders.  The sentiment at the bottom, just in case you can't see to read it says - 'Carry on Dreaming!'  I HOPE he finds it funny!!!!

Not for Jake - but for Callum

Hi everyone, thank you for all your comments on my blog posts, I really look forward to reading them.

I have made a birthday card for my Grandson Callum

I used a stamp from Visible image -'Jake' and coloured him with fleximarkers.  The splodges and backgrounds are from a Creative Expressions Stamp set - 'Silhouette Skateboards, which I stamped with versamark and then coloured with Mica Powders. The  sentiment is from the same set.

Till next time .................... take care

In the Pink

Hi everyone.  Just thought I would share with you my first attempt at using the new
Inkadinkadoo Stamping Gear System.  I received it a couple of hours ago, and it took me longer to get it out of the packaging than it did designing and putting the card together!!!

I used Tim Holtz Spun Sugar for the stamping and distressing, the Spellbinders Hearts Circle Die, and a rose stamp  from Heartfelt Creations.  Backing Card is Topsy Turvy.  I couldn't believe how quickly this came together, but it was a nice easy design to play with for my first attempt.

Hope you like it:

Sorry about the quality of the photo, although it is lovely and sunny here, my mobile hasn't picked it up too well.  If you click on the image it may show more detail.

This week's challenge at Glitter n Sparkle

Thank you to all who took part in last weeks challenge.  It has been a very difficult week for DT members, a bereavement and other issues, which meant not every entry could be  commented on.  We do apologise, and hope things will be better this week, and that you will bear with us.

The sponsors are:
Who are offering one lucky winner 4 images of their choice from the store.

Who are offering Dr Toby to one lucky winner:

Onto my DT card, and I  might add, my faux stitching is as bad as the real thing!!! lol

The papers are from a Lucy Cromwell collection, and the image which I coloured with my Promarkers is Melefecent Pin Up from Sassy Studios.

Looking forward to seeing your entries - Good luck

Shades of blue

Kraftyhands have a new challenge which you can find here:

For my card I decided to use their CD called KEW floral collections, and here it is:

I used the striped floral background, then added the distressed gingham background which, I distressed round the edges with tumbled glass Distress ink,  I mounted that onto silver mirri.  On top of that I used the ribbon threader paper, and used blue and white striped ribbon which was in my stash.  Next I matted and layered using more of the striped floral background, turquoise backing paper and then the iris image. The butterfly has been decoupaged. So all the papers and image have come from different parts of the cd. The swirls are Spellbinders, from the rose set, I just cut off the leaves and added them to the Prima flower spray together with a tiny piece of the blue and white striped ribbon.  The flower embellishment is also from Kraftyhands, and I added an orange/silver brad to the centre so that it tied in with the orange of the ribbon threader.

I hope you like it, and why not join in the challenge too.

Till next time ................... take care x

I was given the Clothes, Shoes and Bag Shop to play with from Jellypark

Not the easiest of images to use buttons on, but I managed to find some free button background papers on the internet and attached three large buttons from my stash onto it.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and used three of Jane Nestorenko's stamps from her 'Apple of my Eye stamp set, again coloured in with Promarkers.  I then attached three little buttons along the shop front.

Gorjuss birthday card

Hi everyone, thank you for all the lovely comments left on my blog posts.  I thought I would do a quick blog today as I had to do a birthday card for a friend's Grand daughter's birthday which is this week.  I decided to go with the Gorjuss range as it is so her.

I used two different background papers, added two ribbon strips, and then the decoupage.  The letters are all self adhesive, so I punched out squares and mounted the letter tiles onto them to give more dimension and definition.  Finally I cut out the little butterflies and flowers.

Here is the inside

I used another background paper, a tag with the same image on it as the front, punched a hole and just looped  some ribbon through it, identical to her socks.  I used another tag to mount the happy birthday on - which are the new dies from Rob Adams,  and then finished it off with the stripey bow, so it all tied in with the rest of the card.  By the way 'Great Aunt Jane' is a standing  joke with the family and myself.  I keep telling them I am Great, but they don't believe me lol .  Till next time.................. take care
