Pretty in pink - Joanna Sheen Challenge

Hello, and welcome.  A quick post from me today.  I have made a card for the Joanna Sheen Challenge at:

The image and backing paper are from Hollypond Hill.  I started with an 8 x 8 card blank and attached the backing paper.  I then decoupaged the image - there was lots to cut out but not a hassel to do so.  I attached the ribbon which I coloured with a Rose pink Promarker and then the decoupaged image.  Next I made the chocolate box ribbon, and I had some white flowers from Wild Orchid which I also coloured with the same colour promarker as the ribbon across the centre of the card.

Have a great weekend everyone.  Till next time ......................

'Kraft' challenge at The Stamping Chef

Hi and welcome, thank you so much to all of you who leave comments on my posts.

Today I've made a card using 'KRAFT' card, which is the challenge over at

 - here it is:

The topper is Kraft card which I went round the edges with Indigo Blu's Eton Mess Mega Flakes. Next I stamped the image which is from Graphic 45 onto the card, masking it each time and then used Antique Linen distress ink round the edge and just across the faces. I stamped onto the ribbon with StazOn Jet Black ink with another stamp in the Graphic 45 set, and then stamped an image from a Debbie Moore stamp set, which actually says - 'A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step'.  Finally I attached four screw brads from the Chronology range in each corner.

That's all for now - Till next time ...............................

Quick and Easy Card

Hello, and welcome, thank you so much for all the wonderful comments you left for me on my post yesterday.
I have been in the garden today, trying to tidy it up so I needed a quick and easy card  and here it is:

I took an 8 x 8 card and covered it with Hunkydory Silver Mirri Board, and embossed it with the Die'sire Star of Wonder embossing folder (as you all know Mirri card is really difficult to photograph without getting a reflection, so the embossing  hasn't shown up at all well  - sorry) Next I cut out 2 triangles of Hunkydory Blue Mirri Card, and two triangles of white paper.  I decided to use the Indigo Blu Frosted Baubles again today, mainly because I had left it out after yesterday!  I stamped it with Perfect Medium, and embossed with  Nice Ice Blue from 'Stamps by Chloe'.  The sentiment is 'Wishing you a Merry Christmas' by Indigo Blu,  but I only used the  'Merry Christmas' from it and again stamped and embossed it as before.  Finally I put a piece of very narrow navy ribbon diagonally across the card, and attached some pearls which match the embossing powder in the middle of the stars.

I have to say that the embossing looks all the same colour in the picture, but actually it is very sparkly, and has gorgeous turquoises, pinks and golds in it - it is just GORGEOUS.

That's it for now, till next time ..........................

A little bit of Christmas

Hello and welcome.  Thank you for all the comments left for me.

I saw Kay from Indigo Blu on Create and Craft a while ago and thought I would have a go at making a card that she demonstrated.
First of all I will show the stamps I worked with so you know what I'm talking about in the  description of how I made it.

This is the card I made.

I started with an A5 Centura Pearl base card
Matted and layered alternate Navy and White card. On the top layer, I masked all but the corner  of the Frosted Bauble Stamp with post it notes, and applied flitter glue, I removed the post it notes and stamped it into the two corners  and then used Winter Dawn flakes  - Kay used part of the large snowflake stamp in each corner of the four corners, but I don't have that stamp so I improvised!
Next I masked the top of the Stag Cliffhanger stamp, again with post it notes and inked the bottom with Denim Adirondack ink. I removed the post it notes and stamped it on a scrap of paper and  then just cut round the frame leaving the white border.
The next step was to cut and emboss the largest Spellbinders 20011 Heirloom ornament die.  Whilst it was still in the die, I did the background using Panpastels.  Next, I masked the bottom of the Stag Cliffhanger stamp, with post it notes,  and inked the top up -  again with the Denim, removed the post it notes and then stamped the image, the die cut is still in the die whilst doing this too.
Finally I cut the flourish from Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and flourishes, attached the sentiment and then put the whole thing onto the card.  Phew!

Hope you like it.  Till next time .....................

A Quote or a Song Challenge at Kaboodle Doodles

Hello, and welcome to my blog.  Thank you for all the lovely comments left for me.
Today I've made a card for the: Challenge which is A Quote or a Song

I chose 'Autumn Leaves' by Nat King Cole

I took an 8x8 card and and stamped randomly with the Inkylicious Skeleton Stamp and then made an aperture with the Tonic Trellis Wall die. I stuck the trellis diecut to the inside of the card. The die cuts are from the Signature Die Set Ivy and Pine Cone - Designed by Joanna Sheen. The Toadstools and little leaves on the trellis are wooden embellishments which I coloured with Promarkers and then dipped in my melt pot.  The squirrel and the large leaf were created in Craft Artist 2, and the words I did on my laptop.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment.  Till next time ..................

Here's a card I've made for the Kraftyhands Challenge - Anything Goes' at:

I started with an 8 x 8 card, and then used an Ali Reeve mask for the background using Antique Linen distress ink.  For the bottom layers of the images I used chocolate brown mirri card. The next layer I used backing papers from Kraftyhands cd - Equestrian events and the toppers were from the cd too.  I decided to make a rosette from the backing paper and finally did the sentiment on my laptop
So there you have it.  Till next time ..................

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at:
Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks challenge, we always love to see your entries.

This week's theme is 'Anything but a Square'

I was given 'Poodle skirt' from Sandi's Samples and here's what I came up with:

There wasn't an awful lot to do on this card because the shape and colours were pre-determined for me, so I just added a doilley, edged with distress ink and then added the gems.  The image was coloured with promarkers.

We have three sponsors this week, which are:

Digi Darla who are offering 5 images from their store
Digi Darla's

Sandi's Samples who are offering 4 images from their store

and finally The Stamping Chef who are offering 3 images from their store

Dry or heat embossing - Joanna Sheen Challenge

Hello and welcome,  thank you to everyone who has left comments on my posts over the past few days.

I saw this challenge the other day, and finally got down to doing something for it.

I started off by selecting the backing paper and embossed it with the Die'sire Tumbling Leaves embossing folder.  I stamped out the image which is part of the House Mouse Designs Autumn Tumble set, with Black Soot distress ink and then embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer clear embossing powder. To colour the image I used some of the 2012 Autumn Promarkers and also some from the 1012 range.  The background to the image was done using Panpastels - I then mounted the image onto some bronze mirri card and orange card that I had in my stash.  The ribbon across the centre was also from my stash.  The Ivy leaves were cut using the  Signature Dies designed by Joanna Sheen, and the other leaf was done in Serif, and then coloured with Gilding Wax which had been mixed with Creative Expressions blending Solution.  The little flower was from my stash.

So, I am now ready to enter it into:

If music be the food of love....................

Hello everyone, thank you to all those that have commented on my blog posts. I decided to have a play today, and was tempted by a challenge over at:

The challenge is music-and /or arts.
I decided to go down the music route.  I had an idea in my head and have to say what I ended up with was nothing like it!
Here it is:

I started with an 8 x 8 card blank, embossed it with the Die'sire Seasonal Music embossing folder.  I then stamped out the images which are from Debbie Moore, and used a punch to do the scalloped edges.  I then had an idea to try and make a record (I know I know, a lot of you won't remember them!!! lol)  I used white card and used the same embossing folder as I did for the background, used Black soot distressed ink and then clear embossed it. The middle bit I coloured with Victorian velvet distressed ink and used a silver pen to write the RCA label.  Finally I stamped out the sentiment, again from Debbie Moore and coloured all the squares with old paper distress ink - and there you have it

Till next time...................

Lovely Lace Challenge at LEJ Designs

Hi everyone, first of all, thank you to everyone who joined in our challenge last week - you can find the winners etc here:

This weeks challenge is 'Lovely Lace' and here's my DT card

The image is 'Queen of Hearts', but I don't think you would like the key to the original queen of hearts heart, because she was the one that shouted 'Off with their heads'! lol
Anyway, I cut an aperture in the base card using the Spellbinders die, and the other little hearts were cut using a Nellie Sneddon die. As you can see I added buttons to the hearts which were in my stash. The image is coloured with promarkers, the sentiment  is a stamp from a Debbi Moore collection (I think!) and finally I cut a  white heart and attached it to the inside of the card and then used the lovely lace, again from  my stash.

Now onto the prizes:
1st randomly drawn winner will receive 4 digi images of their choice from

and the 2nd randomly drawn name will win some Crafty Goodies.

We look forward to seeing what you create .....................good luck
