Die-ing for Christmas!

Hi there welcome to my blog.  Thank you for the kind comments you leave on my posts.

Today I have a Christmas card for you:

I started this card by cutting out the bauble shape from the Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments die. I then embossed it with the Die'sire Embossalicious 'Let it Snow' embossing folder.  Next I cut out the Glowing Candles die from Memory Box and coloured it with my Promarkers.  Although it doesn't show up, I added glitter to the candle wax.

The next step was to make the background.  I embossed red and green card with the same embossing folder and then cut the strips, placing a strip of mirri board across the centre.  Finally I cut out the Merry Christmas from Rob Addams All occasions dies and added some gems from my stash.

Challenge 6 over at Scribble and Scrap

Hi, and Welcome to the new challenge at:

.  Thank you to everyone who took part last time, we had over 200 entries and they were all amazing.

As always the theme is 'Anything Goes'

Onto my DT card

I started with the black 8x8 card blank, then some pink card and another layer of black.  I embossed some turquoise card with the Die'sire Embossalicious Damask embossing folder, and then coloured the lace with a Promarker and laid it over the top.  Next I coloured the bathchair with a couple of Promarkers, and coloured the background with a Pan Pastel, then mounted it onto the black card.  I cut out the parasol and used the same colours as the bathchair.  Finally I added the sentiment and three gems from my stash.

Am really looking forward to seeing all your entries ................ good luck

Love is in the air!

Hello and welcome to my blog, thank you to everyone who left comments on my previous post, so glad you liked the card.

Today I have a card made with the new Vintage Blooms from

I began with an 8 x8 card blank, then one of the backing papers from the kit.  Next I added a doily
I took another sheet from the kit and wrapped ribbon from Creative Expressions and then ribbon which I think I got from Joanna Sheen.  I decided to add some lace (from my stash) which I coloured with a Promarker, so that it replicated the lace on the ladies dress..  I mounted the topper onto the same backing paper as the base of the card, and then added some flowers and gems (from my stash).  Finally I added a sentiment from the kit, and added a bow.

Till next time ...................

A postcard Christmas

Hello, and welcome to my blog.  Thank you to everyone who takes the time to comment, it really means a lot xx

For today's card I started off with a Kraftcard base, then used black mirri card. For the next layer again I used Kraft card used the Diesire Embosallicious Holiday Holly folder on it, coloured with Tim Holtz Crushed Olive distress ink.  The image is Snowy Postcard from Stampendous which I inked up with Memento Toffee Crunch.  I cut it out using the Grand Decorative Ovals from Spellbinders, and coloured it with Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink. The holly is a Signature die from Joanna Sheen. The red pearls I had in my stash and the ribbon is from Creative Expressions. The little green gem on the ribbon was also from my stash.  I did add some glitter on the roofs, but it hasn't shown up, the weather is really dull here today.

A very quick little card to cheer you up (I hope!)

Hi and welcome to my blog post, thank you for the comments left on my posts, it's so good that you take the time to do it x

Here's a quick card I made this morning.

The image is from Deep Red, which I bought at the NEC last week.  I daresay a lot of you will remember Laurel and Hardy - I saw it and just had to have it!

The colours on the stamped topper were made with the Ren Art Spritzer and Promarkers, and the splodges round the outside on the base card were made from a stamp by Sheena Douglass.I inked it up with Perfect Medium and then coloured them with Creative Expressions M|ica Powders.  The sentiment I did on my laptop.  So  there you have a quick little card.  Hope it made you smile - Till next time ...............

The icicles are from Spellbinders and the snowflake is from Joy! Crafts.  The ribbon was in my stash, and the little green gem in the middle of the snowflake is from the Dew Drops range from Kraftyhands.

I did put some glitter round the cuffs and bottom of the little girls coat, and also on the icicles and snowflake, but it isn't showing up unfortunately.
